Featuring the vibrant San Diego music scene and Ilan Rubin Foo Fighters |
The upcoming Power to the People Festival is set to electrify the San Diego music scene with its dynamic lineup and community-driven mission.
Scheduled for October 3, 2026, at Maryland's Merriweather Post Pavilion, this one-day event promises a celebration of peace, justice, and music.
Notably, the festival will feature performances by the Foo Fighters, now with San Diego native Ilan Rubin on drums, bringing a local touch to the national stage.
Curated by guitarist and activist Tom Morello, the festival boasts an impressive roster, including Bruce Springsteen, Joan Baez, Dave Matthews, Cypress Hill, and many more.
Adding to the local representation, San Diego's own The Neighborhood Kids, recent winners of the 2026 San Diego Music Awards for Best Hip-Hop/Rap Song, are set to perform.
Additionally, Matt Cameron, another San Diego native and former drummer for Pearl Jam, will take the stage, further highlighting the city's rich musical talent.
Morello describes the festival as a "non-partisan celebration of peace, justice, solidarity, music, and community action," emphasizing the power of collective action through art and activism.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, May 30, at 10 a.m. ET, with a portion of the proceeds supporting organizations like VoteRiders and HeadCount, dedicated to promoting voter participation and education.
