On May 28, 2026, from 5 to 9 p.m., the Mission Beach Women's Club will host "San Diego Wine Country at the Bay," an event celebrating the region's burgeoning wine industry.

Organized by the Women's Wine Alliance in collaboration with the Ramona Valley Vineyard Association, this gathering coincides with San Diego Wine Week and marks the 20th anniversary of the Ramona Valley AVA.

Attendees will have the opportunity to sample a diverse selection of wines from local producers, meet the winemakers, and immerse themselves in the evolving wine culture of San Diego.

Participating wineries include Castelli & Pizarro Winery, Charlie and Echo Winery, Correcaminos Vineyard, Domaine Artefact Vineyard & Winery, Hungry Hawk Vineyards & Winery, Lathom Wines, Mermaid Valley Vineyards, Négociant Winery, Pamo Valley Winery, Raging Cider & Mead, Ramona Ranch Vineyard & Winery, Rancho San Martin Winery, San Pasqual Winery, Scenic Valley Vineyards, Spanish Peacock Winery, Stay Classy Selections, Storum Ranch Cider and Wine, Succulent Cellars, and Valentina Vineyards.

Tickets are available for purchase, with early bird general admission priced at $55 and Women's Wine Alliance members at $50.

For those seeking additional wine tasting experiences, the California Wine Festival will take place on May 29-30, 2026, at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad.

This festival features a Sunset Rare & Reserve Tasting on Friday evening and a Beachside Wine Festival on Saturday, offering a quintessential California wine tasting experience with hundreds of fine wines, regional craft brews, and a variety of foods to sample.

For a more intimate experience, consider visiting Scenic Valley Ranch Vineyards in Ramona.

This family-operated estate winery offers tastings of their small-lot wines, including estate Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Albariño, and historic Flame Tokay.

Their tasting patio is open on Fridays from 2–6 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m.–6 p.m.

Another notable destination is Ramona Ranch Winery, San Diego County's only certified sustainable vineyard and winery.

Visitors can enjoy handcrafted wines in a picturesque setting, with a pet-friendly patio and picnic-friendly environment.

Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or new to the world of wine, San Diego's wineries and events offer a rich tapestry of flavors and experiences to explore.
